....and in the paddocks and in the water tanks and we are extremely happy! We have had 45mls this last week or so and the change to the landscape is unbelievable! Mind you having to constantly dry and keep clean 5 dogs is starting to wear abit thin, lol, but Iam not complaining.
Today was an interesting day here at Massie Lodge with some changes made to the paddocks. Lenny and Jakey have been moved down the back to the paddock behind the house. The Weanling Boys have been moved to the paddock alongside the house in a bid to stop Jimmy Houdini getting out! Joseph has been moved to where Lenny and Jake were, next to the Weanling Boys and is quickly making friends with his new next door neighbours.
Now, how interesting was it trying to move Lenny and Jakey this morning? Something that should of taken 10 minutes took 2 hours as young Lenny decided that he wanted none of this moving paddock business. It certainly made me take a serious look at the two of them and realise that they are 2 year olds in a couple of days, both in age, size and temperaments. Ready for a bit of education I think!
Max was the shining star of the weanlings and as you can see above, will certainly furnish into a good type.
Its quite eerie looking out over the computer monitor at the moment, the sky above Massie Lodge is a very dark grey, hopefully full of more rain, however, the evening sunset is casting a golden hue over the bleakness... unbelievable, would you want to be anywhere else?
Both Evan and I are glad to be finished with the outside mud for today and are looking forward to a quiet evening with the canines.
Helen.
