I have a blocked nose.... I have runny eyes... my cheeks are sore .... I have sinus. I havent done much at all today as I have been zonked out on Demazin tablets trying to win the war against this horrible, horrible curse. But that's ok, work still goes on around Massie Lodge, even though Iam down in the terrible depths of despair in pain.
Let me hear it .... "AAAwwwwwwwww"
lol
The Massie Lodge canines have been very supportive and have all been (yes all of them!) trying to curl up on the lounge with me on the doona. Evan made me lunch and has been bringing me cups of tea and goodies to keep my spirits up. I have to say though, Sinus is not a good look at all.
Matilda, as you can see above, is not a happy camper either. I have finally beaten her at her game of "let me lick my wounds and keep it red and raw" by applying a magic cream that I found in the baby's section at Woolies (a white Zinc Oxide cream), bandaging it up, taping a sock on her leg and then putting the "dome" on her head. The wound is now looking 100% better and should heal in no time. The Equine residents are not keen on Matilda's look at the moment and are all quite afraid of her.
Congratulations to Single Malt who ran second in a maiden over 1950m at Gawler. I know that Iam continuing to beat the drum, but you would have to admit that Irish Royal would have the be the best stallion for results and value for $2750.
Iam also pleased for Irish's owner, Nigel Landers, a friend of ours, who has weathered the first few years waiting for Irish's progeny to start producing. It's always nice to hear of someone's success and especially if they are a good friend. Now all he needs is a stakeswinner!
Well, time for me to rest my sinus plagued head and lie down again.
Hooroo (aarchoooo)
Helen.
