does exist ... and it is located in Killarney. Well for Summerino (pictured left) it does!
Evan and I went to Summer's Sausage Sizzle today and had a great time. It was good to see that she had settled in well and had Kassy tied around her little finger! To say she had plenty of condition was an understatement, and it surely filled my heart with gladness to see that Kassy and Summer had built a wonderful relationship together. This is how every horse should spend their life after racing - spoilt rotten!! Summer was very much part of the party as you can see.
We had a big 5mls of rain last night, very gladly received, which cooled down the end of the day and was a big relief. We're crossing our fingers that tonght we get a little more. (Have you got your fingers crossed?)
Big day planned for tomorrow - Mad Max comes of age and will be weaned. Even though I dont think that Maddie will be too upset, the process is a little upsetting ... hearing mum and son call out for each other certainly tugs on the heart strings of even the hardest human. This will be good news for our little man, Billy, who can finally come out of his yard and start on his way.
As I look out over my computer monitor I see the clouds a gathering..... the wind has picked up and I can hear the rumbling of some thunder. We are now resting 3 paddocks (including Rosie's paddock at the side of the house) - what a great start if we could get a decent amount of the wet stuff at this time of the year!
Time to go and stick my feet up and have a cuppa (not to mention some of the cake that I brought home from Summer's party!). Until tomorrow, be good!
Helen.
