Do you ever have a feeling of relief when you wake up and realise it's Saturday? I have to fess up and say that I woke up at 6am, realised it was Saturday and turned over and went back to sleep until 9am. Its gotta be the best feeling in the world dont you think?
So, when I finally woke up, reached out to my cuppa knowing that it was stone motherless cold and got up and made myself a fresh cup (I reckon if a cuppa has been sitting longer than an hour, its time to make yourself a new one!) of tea and sat down and watched an episode of Deep Space Nine (Star Trek) until I became human again and contemplated my trip into town to do the shopping (yuk!).
Before that, it was time to go out and spend some quality moments with the weaners (Max and Billy) and our new arrival, a Dodge filly out of Wanchai Lady who I have named "Flossie".
Max has decided that while the leading bit isnt really that bad, he has no desire to yield to his right side. So there Evan and I were, in the 100% humidity trying to get Max to yield to his right side. Sweat pouring off us.... red faced......covered in dust. I tell you, it isnt a glamourous life that we live!
Flossie is the same age as Shortpants and really hasnt had much work done with her... so it was a case of teaching her to lead and to yield as well.... however, I must say that she is much easier to teach than young Maxwell - who really has a bee in his bonnet about his right side.
After a bit of sit down and a cold drink to revive, it was off into town into Woolies to do the shopping where I think I spent more time talking to people that we knew, than actually thinking about what I was buying. By the time I got home, it was 2.30pm and time to start watering and feeding the 4-hooved ones again who were all dying of malnutrition since their lunch.
Ok, so where did the day go? (If anyone knows, can they please send me an email?)
Ok, to the "Robinson Nod of Approval" for this month....
This month the RNOA goes to Peter & Louise at Wadham Park 2 (Pretraining). Peter has been great with keeping the lines of communication open regarding Charlie (Time Legend). He rings me every week with an update and today has taken some photos and sent them through by email.
This is how its supposed to be!!! Not only is the customer being kept up to date of Charlie's progress, but photos taken and sent through as promised. Everyone's a winner .... We can keep an eye on what Charlie is up to and Charlie's owner is very happy because he is being kept in the loop of Charlie's progress.
Well done to Peter and Louise at Wadham Park 2 (Pretraining)!!!
If I look over the top of my computer monitor I can see a very heavy grey cloud hanging over our house.... what do you think are the chances that we are going to get some, um, what do they call it? Rain?
Hmmmmmmmmmm. Anyone know a good raindance?
Helen.
