Ah yes, time to give another, "Robinson Nod of Approval" - which is great, because after reading through some of my previous blogs, there have been quite a few "SODS of the week"!! I always like to give credit, where credit is due....
Ok, so my official "Robinson Nod of Approval" for this week goes to..... (drum roll if you please...)
Oaklands Stud.
We have sent mares to many different studs and have experienced many levels of service or many levels of lack of service (as you have all been privy to in my blog), however, I have to say that both Evan and I were very happy with the service and communication level that was given to us by Kaylene Stewart and Oaklands Stud.
We sent our mare, Sweet Air and her colt, wee Jimmy there to be served by Pure Theatre (pictured), and I have to say that even though Oaklands would have to be one of the bigger studs here on the Darling Downs, both Evan and I were kept up to date as to what Sweetie was up to, how wee Jimmy was, and how Sweetie's date with Pure Theatre went (who is known as Pete to his mare friends!).
Sweetie arrived on the Saturday, and served on the Sunday. None of this Delivery Time restriction rubbish that we encountered with the stud at Kenilworth with Havachat. We received an email on the Wednesday telling us that she was 4 days in foal. We then received an Oaklands Postcard in the mail on Christmas Eve telling us that Sweetie was 35 days positive to Pure Theatre. In the mail yesterday we received our 45day positive slip for Sweetie.
Kaylene Stewart was very friendly and kept us right in the loop about Sweetie and Jimmy. AND, after all of that, Sweetie has kept our flyveil insitu during the whole process!!! lol
Communication is the key to outstanding customer relationships and they certainly know their job there.
Well done Kaylene and Oaklands. We will certainly be returning there. I have attached the url to their website. http://www.oaklandsstud.com/

Today sees the start of the real "silly season" where many buyers will flood the MM complex to purchase over 1300 yearlings at unreal prices. Our Moon Rocket filly, Caramel was scheduled to appear there, however, we decided to withdraw her because of all the problems we had during the later part of last year. So, we have decided to sell her privately and will see how we go there. She is the spit of her mother Havachat - Chestnut, Baldy face and quite a looker - there is no physical resemblance to her sire at all!
We will be down at the Magic Millions on Monday and Tuesday to catch up with some friends and business associates. Hope to see you there!
Well, time for me to get out of here and get to Telstra Countrywide. If you have a problem with your phone today, please dont call me!!! haha
Helen.

It's good news that the stud is very client-oriented and doing its best to make the owners feel valued. Wouldn't it be great if more businesses realised that word-of-mouth is the best advertising on earth and aimed for such high standards?
