Friday....

Finally, a day off.

Pictured right is Lenny (Kinjite / Sweet Air).

Ocasionally, yes, very ocasionally I do like to go out and have a girlie day - you know go out browse the shops, stop and have a coffee and munch on something pretty fatty along with it. Today was one of those days and my darling Evan decided to accompany me.

What is it about men and browsing the shops? Why do they all have such a "must go from point A to point B" mentality with no diverting to "C" or "D"? lol I really shouldnt complain because Evan is quite good - actually I think the reason why is because the "Gallopers Hotline" never stops ringing and he is busy pacing outside the shop while Iam inside browsing and perhaps buying!

Actually Iam not complaining ... but I have yet to come across a man who likes to wander in and out of shops as a method of de-stressing. My mum was a shop wanderer when she was stressed.... she would find herself a nicely airconditioned shopping mall and wander in and out of the shops, sometimes not even with the intention of buying. She would find herself a Coffee Shop, sit and ponder life while watching the crowds go by. I have to say that I have inherited just a little of that trait and am quite happy to sit and watch the people go by while I sip on a Cappaccino.

Reality strikes a hard blow when its time to go into Woolies and do the grocery shopping -which just quietly is my most least favourite thing to do (along with folding the washing, ironing, washing up etc etc!!). You put on your flak jackets, don your helmets, arm yourselves with granades and mortars and off you go.

Why do people persist in stopping mid aisle to have a chat with trolleys and kids in tow?

Hmmm. Perhaps they need to draw double yellow lines down the middle of the aisles to stop this very annoying habit. Perhaps they also need Aisle Police?? My patience dwindles very quickly once we have entered the "war zone" and just quietely for those who dont know me very well - I dont have alot of patience on a good day away from the Supermarket.

Hmmmm. Give me online grocery shopping anyday! (now, we cant get our Pizza's delivered, so its not going to happen any day soon).

AAArgh!

Helen.

Let's hope you are showing young Lenny the winning post there.
Getting him used to seeing it would be great.
