Go Go Gossy!

After a very cold and blustery day yesterday with the wind coming off the Arctic Caps (Seafood Marina washed down with a couple or more good glasses of Chardy last night), today turned out to be a beautiful day - mind you it was after a very cold start of -4 (bbrrrr!)

So delighted with the day were both Evan and I that after hurridly doing the 14 loads of washing and the usual clean up of a Sunday around the house ( more like a very bad impression of Martha Stewart), we retired to the side verandah and had morning tea, just sitting in the sun (without any wind) enjoying the silence. After which. Evan and I rounded up the canines and went for a walk around the property to visit all the equines - not for any specific reason rather just to say hello and give them a cuddle. When we came to the "ladies" (and I use that term loosely!) I was on my own. For some strange reason Gossy (Local News) does not care for the male species and I was quite surprised that we didnt have to play our usual game of zig and zag.

As is normal with the ladies, I always approach Pip first and start to make a fuss of her and its when Iam doing that I can gauge what sort of mood madam is in. Standing and making a fuss over Pip, Pip became agitated and to my surprise Gossy was on final approach to where I was standing.

Seeing that I was being summonded for a cuddle, I left Pip and went over to her Majesty where scratching behind the right ear and long strokes down her back was the order of the day.

Gossy's winter coat has really started to fall out (and naturally ended up all over me!) and she is really starting to bloom.

Mind you after glancing over her wither I could see Miss Pip standing with her bottom lip dragging on the ground - so it was time to go over to the lady-in-waiting and give her some attention.

I always feel that Sundays have a different feel to them - its not like Saturday that is spent rushing around and getting things done (or going into town for the obligatory cup of coffee!). The pace seems to slacken and you can really enjoy each and every hour that you have.

Why cant it be Sunday every day of the week? lol
