Massie Lodge is underwater! We have had over 70mm of rain this last few days and everything is wet, has turned to mud or has rolled in mud over the last day or so with the chance of some more this evening. All the dams are getting back to respectable and the house tanks have filled right up again. We don’t even mind that everything is damp! (well sort of!)
Lucy and Sweetie are doing very well, with Sweetie being very protective of her new daughter. Today saw them out of the stable for a few hours while the sun was shining this afternoon. However they have gone back into their stable overnight as there is a chance of some more rain.
Lucy looks like a chestnut in these photos due to the flash of the camera, but I will take some more photos when they are back outside.Libby and Isabell have been moved down the back to the paddock behind the house where there is a shelter in it, so that they can get out of the rain. Sweetie and Lucy will join them in a couple of days.Its been pretty flat out this week with me working 4 days, Sweetie having Lucy and all the other things that have to continue to tick over, tonight will see an early night me thinks…(I can see me up on the lounge settling in to watch a movie and then falling asleep. Gee I am good company at the moment aren’t I?
