Harry & Buster - the Conatus Boys

It's back to work for our young Conatus boy, Harry after over a month off in a paddock with thigh-high grass. Both boys, Harry and Buster, were ridden by Craig yesterday and both boys definitely did not want to leave their lush grazing paddock. Both boys needed a reminder of what they had learned while being broken in.

Harry has grown and is now 15.2 and a stunner (well to me anyway!) and both boys have very big tummies from their time in the spelling paddock

Today, due to the heat, only Harry was ridden and Craig was very happy with what he remembered. Craig will continue to ride Harry with a mind to muscle him up. Harry will go back out when he has had enough. 2011 Stradbroke? lol

More Rain

As everyone knows the Queensland floods affected everyone ... once again Warwick was cut off by the bulging Condamine River who raised its level enough to devastate the town and it's businesses, some for the second time in 2-3 weeks.

Once again we were cut off and just had to stay put. The horses stayed in their shelters and were safe and are glad that the mud has gone away. We only had a small price to pay - unlike Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley where both towns were devastated and human life was lost.

Anyway, life goes on.
